Eve's second song

I am sitting in my garden.
It is very pretty.
Adam has named it Eden.
In the beginning was the word he says,

and goes on naming things.
Soon there will be nothing left to name
so we will eat the apple,

and be cast out.
Adam will then learn to name sorrow
and pain
...and sin.

Naming is Adam's job.
I am his helpmeet.
I am eating the apple.
I am making it possible.
